Study of clay figurines in the Petrie Museum, London

On 15 and 19 August, project member Hannah Page visited the Petrie Museum of Egyptian and Sudanese Archaeology in London to continue our study of clay figurines in museum collections. With the help of a Portable X-ray Fluorescence (pXRF) device and digital microscope (DinoLite), she analysed the technical details and clay composition of the figurines. We thank dr. Anna Garnett (curator) and Lisa Randisi (curatorial and collections assistant) for hosting our project!
