On November 15, team member Beatriz Noria-Serrano shared her preliminary
research on female clay figurines at the seminar Construyendo el pasado de las
mujeres en la Antigüedad. 2ª Edición: Identidades femeninas (Constructing the Past of Women in Antiquity. 2nd Edition: Female Identities), held at the Universidad
Autónoma de Madrid. Her lecture, titled “De concubinas a sanadoras: la identidad de
las figurillas femeninas en el antiguo Egipto” (From concubines to healers: the identity of female figurines in ancient Egypt) explored the historiography of female clay
figurines and presented the latest findings of the PIPE project.
